Scholarship Programs

  1. Law Enforcement: For students in youth law enforcement programs (e.g., Cadet, Explorer)
  2. Traditional: For students in accredited colleges, universities, technical programs, or trade schools

Selection Criteria

Scholarships are awarded based on:

  • Academic performance and achievements
  • Community service
  • Extracurricular involvement
  • Essay question response

Eligibility Requirements

For BOTH Programs, Applicants Must Be:

  1. An LAPFCU member in good standing when applying. This will be verified upon application submission.
  2. 17 - 22 years old at the time you apply.
  3. Accepted to or enrolled in an accredited university, college, community college, technical program, or trade school as an undergraduate for Fall 2025.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT for Law Enforcement Program: Must be an active participant or a 2024 graduate of a law enforcement youth program (e.g., Cadets, Explorers, POPP, ACOP). Proof of program enrollment or completion required.

PLEASE NOTE: Previous LAPFCU scholarship winners and their immediate family members are NOT eligible to apply.

Application Guidelines

Your application, essay, and all supporting documents must be submitted by April 1, 2025 through the link on this page.

  • Attachments must be in Word or PDF format.
  • Incomplete or late submissions will not be accepted.
  • Winners will be notified the week of June 2.
